Public peering
With Houston Internet Exchange, you can use our switching fabric to peer with other HOUIX participants through a single connection. Our route servers make it easy to exchange routing information with a wide variety of HOUIX participants.
Private VLAN
A Private VLAN on HOUIX lets you exchange traffic with select participants who are also members of your private VLAN. This allows for the partitioning of traffic with separated broadcast domains, and allows the private exchange of data with other participants.
Remote peering
Our remote peering service allows HOUIX participants to peer on our partner internet exchanges in other regions. For a small fee, HOUIX delivers to the current customer's port a VLAN that enables peering to the remote site.
